Privacy Policy

MoneyTribe21 and the MoneyTribe21 app are owned and operated by JDCLD Trading LLC ("MoneyTribe21", "we", "us" or "our"), a company registered in Delaware, United States. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Last updated: 3 September 2026

This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you use:

We process personal information in accordance with applicable United States federal and state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws where they apply. Our members are located in many countries. We cannot list every country's privacy law here, but where the law of your country gives you additional rights over your personal information — for example the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) if you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, or the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) if you are in South Africa — we honour those rights as described in section 11.

Age. MoneyTribe21 is intended for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not direct our services to children under 13 within the meaning of the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.

1. What data we collect

Through the website

When you use moneytribe21.com we collect the personal identification information you give us — your name, email address and phone number — when you register, join, contact support or subscribe to our mailing list, together with the cookie and usage data described in section 10.

Through the MoneyTribe21 app

Through the MoneyTribe21 app we collect and process:

  • Account details — name, email address and password (stored as a secure hash).
  • Profile — display name and, if you choose to set one, a profile photo.
  • Membership and billing status — your subscription plan and its status. Payments are processed by Apple, Google or our web billing provider; we never receive or store your card details.
  • Learning records — course progress, video/audio playback positions, exam attempts and results, your journey level, bookmarks and personal notes.
  • Trading data — trade details, account balance and equity, and trading-account credentials from any trading account you link to the programme. See section 4 for full details.
  • Community content — messages, voice notes, photos and documents you share in community chat, the groups you belong to, and any reports or blocks you submit.
  • Live sessions — your registration for live sessions and attendance information (when you joined and for how long), and questions you submit for Q&A sessions.
  • Search queries you type into the app's search.
  • Support and feedback — support requests and, if you cancel, your cancellation survey answers.
  • Referral information — your referral code and affiliate ID if you take part in our referral programme.
  • Partner-broker status — limited information about whether a trading account you open through one of our partner links is linked to our partner profile (see section 5).
  • Technical data — push notification tokens, device model and app version, and crash/error reports linked to your member ID so we can fix problems you experience.

2. How we collect your data

You directly provide most of the data we collect. We collect and process data when you:

  • register on the website or subscribe to the app;
  • complete your profile, work through the course, sit exams, or take part in live sessions, competitions and evaluations;
  • link a trading account to the app;
  • open a trading account through one of our partner-broker links;
  • post in community chat or submit questions, reports or feedback;
  • contact support, complete a survey or cancel your membership;
  • use the website or app, through cookies, device identifiers and technical logs.

We also receive limited information from third parties: subscription status from Apple, Google and our web billing provider; trade details from the account-connection and monitoring services described in section 4; and referral and account-status confirmations from partner brokers.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • process your order, manage your account and membership, and provide the app and its content;
  • run the MoneyTribe21 trading programme — track your progress, mark exams, evaluate your trading, decide when you advance to the next level and certify you as a trader;
  • run and judge trading competitions and, where a competition has a public leaderboard, display your results to other members;
  • apply protective measures to linked trading accounts, such as stop losses and equity monitors (section 4);
  • operate the community, live sessions and in-app search (including transcribing and summarising recorded sessions so they can be searched);
  • operate our partner-broker and referral programmes;
  • provide support, respond to your requests and fix problems you experience;
  • customise your experience, and understand how the website and app are used so we can improve them;
  • send you service messages and, with your consent or where otherwise permitted, marketing (section 9);
  • comply with our legal obligations and protect our rights and the safety of our members.

Where the GDPR or a similar law applies to you, our legal bases are: performance of our contract with you (providing the membership and programme you signed up for); our legitimate interests (running, securing and improving the service, and operating the partner and referral programmes); your consent (optional features such as profile photos, marketing and, at the certified-trader stage, optional account linking); and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Linked trading accounts

MoneyTribe21 is a structured trading programme. After you complete the textbook stage, you progress through four trading levels — three months of demo trading in which you must remain profitable and not breach the trading rules, a second "boiler room" demo stage, trading on a small live account, and a professional stage — before graduating as a certified trader. Because we evaluate and monitor your trading at each of these levels, linking the relevant demo or live trading account is a condition of taking part in them and in our trading competitions and evaluations. Once you are a certified trader, linking is optional: you may choose to keep an account linked so we can provide trade journaling, statistics and similar services.

How linking works. We connect to your account either with read-only (investor) access, which lets us view your trades, balance and equity but not place, modify or close trades, or with full trading (master) access, which our systems also use to apply protective measures to your account automatically, such as stop losses and equity monitors. Which type of access is needed depends on the level, the account type and the service involved — competitions, for example, generally require read-only access only, while the trading levels and evaluations require full access. We will tell you clearly which access is required, and explain the associated risks, before you link, so that you can make an informed decision. Where we hold full trading access we use it only for the monitoring, evaluation and protective measures described here and for no other purpose. To set up monitoring we also need your account details, such as your account number and the broker and server the account is held with. Credentials you provide are stored securely, used only for these purposes, and can be revoked at any time by changing the password with your broker.

What we receive and how we use it. Once linked, we receive the trade details from the account — trades opened and closed, instruments, sizes, prices, profit and loss, and account balance and equity. We use this information to run and judge competitions, to evaluate your progress and decide whether you advance to the next level, to apply the protective measures described above, to display your trading record and statistics to you and, where a competition has a public leaderboard, to show your results to other members.

Retention and unlinking. Your trading history is central to the programme, so we keep the full record of your trades and account values from every linked account for the entire duration of your membership; it is removed when you delete your account. You can unlink an account at any time from within the app or by contacting us, after which no further trade details are collected. Because linking is required during the trading levels, unlinking an account at those levels means you cannot continue that level, or any competition or evaluation it is part of, until an account is linked again. Any account-connection or monitoring service we use processes your account details only on our instructions and for no other purpose.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under US state privacy laws. We share it only as described below.

Service providers

We share member data with service providers who help us operate MoneyTribe21 — hosting and database services, payment and subscription processors (Apple, Google and our web billing provider), community chat infrastructure, live-streaming, content delivery, push notifications, crash reporting, trading-account connection and monitoring services, and services that transcribe and summarise recorded sessions to power in-app search. We share only the information each provider needs to deliver its service — for example, your name and email address where an account or registration must be created with the provider on your behalf — and these providers process it only on our instructions and for no other purpose.

Recorded sessions that are transcribed and summarised contain the presenter's content; questions submitted by members are summarised without identifying the member who asked them.

Partner brokers

MoneyTribe21 takes part in partner (introducing-broker) programmes with the brokers we recommend. If you open a trading account through one of our partner links, we may share your email address with that broker where this is necessary to confirm that your account is linked to our partner profile. In return the broker may share limited information with us about the status of your account: whether it is linked to our partner profile, whether identity verification (KYC) has been completed, whether a demo account or a live account has been opened, and whether your deposits have reached certain predefined thresholds. Through this programme we do not receive your trading activity, account balances, identity documents or payment details (trade details reach us only through a linked trading account — see section 4). This exchange is used solely to operate the platform and the partner programme — for example, to confirm referrals and to unlock partner benefits in the app — and we and the broker each process this information as independent controllers in accordance with applicable data-protection law (including, where they apply, the GDPR and POPIA), protecting it with appropriate technical and organisational measures and keeping it only for as long as the partner programme requires.

Other members

Your display name and profile photo are visible to other members in community chat. Where a competition has a public leaderboard, your competition results are visible to other members and, where we publish a leaderboard, to the public. Content you post in community chat is visible to the members of that group.

Legal and business reasons

We may disclose personal information where required by law, court order or a regulator; to enforce our terms or protect the rights, property or safety of MoneyTribe21, our members or others; or, in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business, to the relevant successor, who will be bound by this policy.

6. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our members and service providers are located around the world. Your personal information will therefore be transferred to and processed in the United States and in the countries where our service providers operate — principally the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States (our main database and file storage is hosted in the EU/UK region). Privacy laws in these countries may differ from those in your own.

Where your local law requires it — for example if you are in the EU, the UK or South Africa — we protect transfers of your personal information with appropriate safeguards, such as contractual data-protection commitments with our service providers (including standard contractual clauses or the UK addendum where the GDPR applies) and transfer to countries or organisations that provide an adequate level of protection. By using MoneyTribe21 you acknowledge that your information will be processed in the United States.

7. How we store and protect your data

Your data is stored in databases and file storage hosted by our service providers, primarily in the EU/UK region. All data is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored as secure hashes, and trading-account credentials are stored securely and accessed only by the systems that need them. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure, and we require the same of our service providers.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep your account data for as long as your membership is active. This includes your full learning and trading history, which we keep for the whole of your membership so that we can track your progress through the programme.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app, at app.moneytribe21.com/settings/delete-account, or by emailing us. When you delete your account we remove your profile information, photo, notes, bookmarks, submitted questions, trading data and chat identity, and disable the account; we retain your email address as a record of the deletion and to meet our legal obligations. Some information may be retained where the law requires it, for example billing records. Partner-broker information is kept only for as long as the partner programme requires.

Mailing-list preferences are handled separately: we keep you subscribed until you unsubscribe.

9. Marketing

You have the right at any time to stop MoneyTribe21 from contacting you for marketing purposes.

All of our email communication includes our full contact details as well as a fully working one-click unsubscribe link, so that any of our contacts who no longer wish to receive communication from us can opt out at any time. You can also change your notification preferences in the app.

10. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, to remember your preferences, to understand how visitors use the site, and — through third-party advertising pixels — to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the website works.

The MoneyTribe21 app does not use advertising or cross-app tracking. It uses only the technical identifiers described in section 1 (such as push tokens and a member ID for crash reporting) to make the app work.

11. Your data protection rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal information. We extend these rights to all members regardless of location, subject to any limits in the law that applies to you.

  • The right to know / access — to request confirmation that we process your personal information and receive a copy of it. We may charge a small fee where the law allows.
  • The right to correction — to request that we correct information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • The right to deletion — to request that we delete your personal information, under certain conditions. You can also delete your account yourself as described in section 8.
  • The right to data portability — to receive the data you have provided to us in a portable format, or have it transferred to another organisation, under certain conditions.
  • The right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, so no opt-out is needed.
  • The right to opt out of marketing — you can opt out of marketing at any time (section 9).
  • The right to restrict or object to processing and the right to withdraw consent — where these rights are provided by the law that applies to you (for example the GDPR or POPIA).
  • The right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

How to exercise your rights. Contact us at info@moneytribe21.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request; you may also authorise an agent to make a request on your behalf. We will respond within the time required by the law that applies to you and in any event within 45 days, and we will let you know if we need more time.

Complaints. If you are in the United States you may contact your state attorney general or the Federal Trade Commission. If you are in the EU or UK you may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority; if you are in South Africa, with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za). We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first, so please contact us before doing so.

Notice to California residents. In the last 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in section 1 (identifiers, account and profile details, commercial information about your subscription, financial trading data from linked accounts, user content, internet and app activity, and technical device data) for the purposes described in section 3, and disclosed them to the service providers listed in section 5. We have not sold or shared personal information. We keep each category for the periods described in section 8.

12. Privacy policies of other websites

The MoneyTribe21 website and app contain links to other websites and services, including partner brokers, our Telegram and WhatsApp groups and our social-media channels. Our privacy policy applies only to our own website and app, so if you follow a link to another website or service you should read its privacy policy.

13. Changes to this privacy policy

We keep this privacy policy under regular review and place any updates on this page and in the app. Where a change is significant, we will notify you by email or in the app. This privacy policy was last updated on 3 September 2026.
