A Coffee with a Legend: My Meeting with Justin Harrison in Mauritius
On May 4th, something special happened in a small coffee shop in Mauritius. I had the privilege of meeting Justin Harrison — entrepreneur, thought leader, and the driving force behind The Money Tribe 21. What started as a heartfelt gesture of gratitude became an inspiring conversation and the kick-start I’d been looking forward to.
I had reached out to Justin to thank him for the life-changing platform he and his team had built. I didn’t expect him to respond, let alone agree to meet. But he did. We arranged to meet at Bloom, a South African-owned coffee shop on the island. I was nervous in the build-up, unsure of what to expect from someone who has impacted so many lives — including mine.
Justin arrived on time. Punctuality might seem minor, but to me, it spoke volumes — it showed respect. He greeted me warmly, and we embraced like old friends. Though he didn’t know me yet, I felt as if I had known him for years. I introduced him to my wife and friends, and then the two of us sat at a nearby table, ordered coffee… and just started talking.
We spoke about everything — our businesses, our families, our roots. But the conversation kept returning to something deeper: personal growth, service, and the unseen struggles behind success. Justin was refreshingly honest. He shared how lonely the path can sometimes be, and that he rarely meets up with people in person anymore. Yet here he was — giving me his time, fully present, listening with absolute focus. At one point, I was brought to a tear — a mild sniffle (wink wink). Not from sadness, but from the raw, authentic passion Justin shared for helping others. He didn’t interrupt. He didn’t perform. He simply was — genuine, intentional, and committed.
We spoke about trading and his own journey through multiple ventures. I shared my own — how I’d spent R250,000 on a course to learn investing and marketing, a painful price made worse by the exchange rate. He offered encouragement, reminding me that consistent trading is about risk management and emotional control.
One moment that really stood out was our discussion about wealth. Justin said something that stuck with me:
A profound reminder that success isn’t just about strategy — it’s about self-awareness. We also spoke about our fathers and the roles they played in shaping who we are. Our dads did what they could with what they had. It gave us both a deep appreciation for the different battles of a different generation.
As our conversation wound down, Justin asked me where I saw myself in five years. I told him my dream: to be financially free by the age of 55. For some reason, as I spoke, he got goosebumps. Maybe it was the moment, maybe it was the energy — whatever it was, it felt significant. Before we parted ways, he graciously gave my son a shout-out. We took a photo together — one that I’ll treasure. In our final moments, we laughed, we joked, and I thanked him once again — not just for the coffee, but for the time, the wisdom, and the authenticity.
He truly is a living legend. There are no coincidences. I believe that now more than ever. The universe brings the right people into your life when you’re ready. Meeting Justin reminded me that we are always being guided — if we’re brave enough to reach out, listen, and grow.

From Over-Eager Entries to Calm Execution — How One Triber Flipped His Strategy, His Mindset, and His Account.
When I spoke to Christiaan, it was clear he wasn’t just excited — he was changed. He’s been trading for two years now, but like many of us, he spent most of that time jumping between strategies, chasing moves, and trying to force results. That endless loop of frustration. Of almost. Of “maybe this time.”
But something shifted after he went through the first six lessons in Justin’s Forex Basics Course. “That’s when I realised I was over-eager,” he told me. “I kept entering too early, trying to catch moves before they were ready. That course showed me how to slow down and wait for the best setup.”

Old Christiaan would’ve jumped in. This time, he waited. Four hours. Watching. Studying. And when the confirmation came on the 5-minute chart, he entered — calm, controlled, and clear.
Once the trade moved into profit, he didn’t let emotions run the show. He scaled in with bigger positions, using his gains as a buffer — not blind hope. “I took my account from $2,438 to $3,200 in 15 minutes,” he said. “That’s a $731 flip in one session.”
But what stood out most wasn’t the result — it was how calm he was about it. This wasn’t hype. It wasn’t a once-off lucky break. It was strategy. It was maturity. It was Christiaan trading like a professional. He now trades only support and resistance, follows the 15-minute trend, and scalps with purpose. No more chasing. No more noise. Just clean levels and disciplined execution.
And the wins keep coming — but quietly. A few days ago, he messaged Justin again with a simple update: “Your analysis yesterday was spot on. Thank you — I managed to withdraw R11,000 this morning.” A few weeks later, Christiaan reached out again — this time with a milestone that marked just how far he’d come. “I did my first R40,000 withdrawal. That was my biggest yet in two years.”
Christiaan has now found his groove in the Asian session, where it’s quiet, focused, and distraction-free. He trades once a day. He puts in the work. And it’s paying off. “I’m putting in a lot of time,” he said. “Power to achieve.”
